Meditek silver wound dressings include an 'active layer' of Zorflex® activated carbon technology with silver. This layer provides these dressings with powerful and effective antibacterial properties. They are designed to provide a multi-functional, technology driven solution to veterinary wound care. The micro porous structure allows the wound dressing to adsorb wound odour with the other components absorbing wound exudate.
The antibacterial action of Meditek Silver dressings helps to promote and maintain a healthy wound environment, enhancing wound healing rates. Zorflex® has been scientifically tested for antibacterial effectiveness against many types of bacteria including the veterinary pathogens Pseudomonas aeroinosa and Dermatophilus congolensis. Test results confirmed that Zorflex® was very effective.
